Please read this owners guide carefully before installation. Failure to follow  
these instructions fully or incorrect installation may damage your new TIC  
products and any third party equipment used in your new system installation.  
This may also Void any warranty for your new TIC products. If you are unsure  
of your ability to fully understand and fully complete the installation of this TIC  
product, please consult a professional installer.  
Note: TIC Corporation always recommends that you test your product and its  
components prior to exterior installation. Test your components near a mains  
power and, if required, receiver amplifier source somewhere convenient,  
perhaps inside. Ensure all components are working smoothly and correctly  
before exterior placement and operation.

WARNING!  
There is no requirement for the customer to  
open this unit for any kind of operation or  
maintenance. Doing so will void the warranty.  
Ensure rear main power switch is in the “off”  
position when not in use.  
Keep the unit away from high temperatures,  
excessive water, chlorinated solvents or  
enclosed areas that prevent natural air flow  
cooling or excessive dirt and particulate matter.  
Avoid any shocks, high vibration or sudden  
impacts or collisions to the unit.  
The AMP unit is weatherproof to a certain point  
and not expected to be exposed to excessive  
moisture.  
The 12v power connection at the unit is fairly  
water tight however the mains power 3-prong  
plug is not, anymore than other exterior devices  
like your electric lawnmower or other electrical  
exterior use equipment. Please take precautions.  
Pre-Installation…  
1. Carefully unpack your new AMP10 receiver Amplifier and check all  
supplied components carefully  
2. TIC always recommends that our customers test their new purchase  
prior to any exterior installation to ensure their familiarity with the  
units basic operation before installation  
3. Once you have tested your new TIC product to ensure everything is  
working properly prior to exterior installation, please find a safe, level  
and stable surface on which to operate you new receiver amplifier

unsecured installation of this product. Any and all damage arising from the  
installation or use of this product is the purchaser and final installer’s sole  
responsibility.  
An Important note on Polarity!  
Pleasure proper polarity when connecting your new TIC outdoor  
speakers. This is very important and will result in poor sound reproduction  
and possibly equipment damage if not connected correctly. This is normally  
avoided by ensuring + to + and – to – or as sometimes color coded Red to  
Red and Black to Black from your amplified source to your speakers  
respectively.  
 
Exterior Installation…  
This TIC AMP10 exterior receiver amplifier can connect to and operate  
three different sound sources at any one time.  
Step by step…  
1. Installation of your amplifier should consider a safe, off the ground,  
dust free position not too far from a mains outlet and not exposed to  
excess water, dust, particulate matter or human traffic conditions  
2. Connect any pre-run outdoor speakers or output devices to your  
AMP10 receiver amplifier  
3. Connect any input devices such as your CD/ MP3/Ipod players etc. to  
your AMP10 receiver amplifier  
4. Connect the rear 12v power cable to your AMP10 and then tighten the  
connection securely.  
5. Connect the rear cable to the supplied 12v transformer.  
6. Connect the power mains cable to the 12v transformer and then to the  
wall mains 120/110v. Please be especially cautious with the integrity  
of this connection to dangerous mains power. Ensure its in a safe and  
dry environment.  
7. Switch the unit “on” using the rear silicone material clear covered  
rocker switch  
8. Switch the unit “on” using the front fascia on/off/ pause push switch  
9. Choose your listening “Mode”. Note: the unit is factory preset in Radio  
mode to begin initially  
10. Select desired input device CD, MP3 or radio/ mic’s input/ output  
11. Test the unit using as many “modes” of operation as you can to  
ensure a correct trouble free exterior installation

General Operation…  
Power the unit “on” by using both the rear silicone covered  
rocker switch and then the front fascia touch switch the unit will  
default to FM receiving mode. You may then use the Mode  
switch to cycle to a different sound source.  
Volume; press Vol+ or Vol- to control Volume. Press and hold  
down to continuously change volume levels  
Pause; press the on/off switch which will first cycle through  
Pause or Play  
Switching Mode(s); Initially the unit is in Radio receiving Mode.  
The front panel LCD screen will show FM/AM. Simply press the  
Mode button to switch to “Aux”. When choosing CD the display  
will show CD. Press the Mode button again to switch to the  
input source you desire  
Radio; while receiving press and hold the Tune+ or Tune-  
buttons and again to stop auto searching  
Radio Station Settings; press the Tune+ or Tune- to change  
one frequency at a time (FM: 0.5mHz, AM: 9kHz)  
FM/AM selection; press the AM/FM button to switch between  
bands  
Automatic Radio Station Searching; press the Scan button to  
initiate automatic station searching mode. There will be a slight  
pause as a station is found. Press any button to exit  
Radio Stations Preset Memory; when listening to your am/fm  
radio, to save the current radio station your enjoying, press the  
Preset button to initiate station storage. On the display it will  
show “CH01”. Press the Tune+ or Tune- to select which  
number preset you prefer.  
There are 30 channels to choose from in both the AM and FM  
bands.  
To exit this selection process, simply press the Select button. If  
the system remains idol it will also automatically exit this  
function  
Select Preset Station(s); while listening to your radio, press  
the Select button and the LCD display will show “CHXX”. The  
CHXX shown will represent the current preset channel. Press  
the Tune+ or Tune- to select from your pre stored radio  
stations. Press the Select button again to exit from your  
selections  
Karaoke; please simply plug your microphones in and enjoy!  
 
Maintenance…  
Occasional maintenance of your TIC products cannot hurt and may help  
greatly. Inspect the installation area regularly removing and twigs, dirt or  
particulate matter from impeding or building up around the unit or the output  
grill area. The units may be cleaned using very mild detergents like  
dishwashing liquid if desired. A hose with clean water may also be used but  
please avoid using high pressure or forcing water into the grill or acoustic ports.  
In very cold climates with moderate to heavy snowfall an old trick from the  
major theme parks we supply world wide is to place a plastic bag over the unit  
for the winter or periods it may be not in use or under such snowfall.

warranty on all its products as standard however there are other 3 and 5 year  
warranties in use with various TIC authorized Dealers world wide. Please check  
your enclosed Warranty card or your Dealer receipt to find out which one

Check the speaker cable is connected to the receiver  
amplifier correctly.  
Check the receiver amplifier is powered “on” at the  
mains, is not on “mute”, has no headphones attached  
and that the Channels used for the exterior speakers  
(usually A or B) is in operation.  
Refer to the owners guide that came with your  
receiver amplifier.  
Most initial problems are connectivity, please try a  
different connection cable to your outdoor speakers  
or equipment.  
Check the “balance” control on your receiver  
amplifier.  
Check all connections and cable to the inoperable  
speaker.  
No Sound from one  
speaker  
1. Disconnect the “working” speaker from the  
receiver amplifier connection/ channel. Switch the  
cord from the non-operating speaker from its current  
connection to the “working” speaker connection. If  
the speaker now works the problem is your receiver  
amplifier.  
2. Reconnect as original. Remove the speaker cable  
at the “working” speaker directly and connect it  
directly to the non-working speaker. If the speaker  
now works the problem is somewhere in the original  
speaker cable.  
3. If the speaker still does not work the problem is the  
speaker.  
One speaker sounds  
distorted, lower  
Follow same procedure as above for “No Sound”.  
volume or “different”  
Check the “tone” setting on your receiver amplifier.  
Adjust the Treble and Bass settings on your receiver  
amplifier.  
Treble or Bass  
Check the connections carefully from the amplifier to  
your speakers and ensure correct Phase (+ to + and  
– to – accordingly). Poor sound replication is  
expected from a speakers or speakers out of polarity  
or phase.
